"Babies Mozart"

Mattie and Tatum enjoyed composing some music during their rainy day play date... I think Joy, Lee, and myself may have gotten more of a kick out of it then they did :) And I think Mattie spent more time chasing the cat and dog around they house then actually playing w/ her BFF, Tatum. But everyone had a good time, so I guess that is what counts! Mattie is almost 10 months old here, and Tatum is almost 13 months old, wow, how time flies!

Is it really February??? We were able to scope out Mattie's 1st Bday park location and enjoy the outdoors since it was near 80 degrees this past weekend! Mattie loved posing for the camera, of course, and she loved getting into mischief... of course!

Meeting great grandparents!

My grandparents came to visit from Colorado and got to meet Mattie for the first time! Here is a shot of Mattie and I, with my mom and my grandma. It was so much fun to play w/ grandma and grandpa Smallwood, we wish they would come to California more often!

We have a 9 month old???

After crawling backwards and scooting sideways for the past month or so, Mattie decided to officially crawl FORWARD the day before she turned 9 months old, and perfected the movement on her actual 9 month Bday. She still hasn't gone more than 3 feet before stopping, but I'd bet she'll be all over the condo by the end of the week... time to child-proof! Watch the short clip of her "crawl" to see a wounded puppy look alike movement :) Mattie also loves pulling herself up on the coffee table and spends more time standing than she does on the floor these last few days!

So much has changed, yet so much has stayed the same...

Mattie loves sleeping on her daddy... I could't resist taking this photo today to compare w/ one from when she was just 4 weeks old. She is now almost 9 months old, and the position hasn't changed, except that she is a lot longer now :)
