Merry Christmas! We headed back over to grandma and grandpas house for breakfast (hence the early morning look on our faces), and played w/ the Melaras one last time before they had to leave.

Christmas Eve
Hooray its Christmas Eve! At almost 8 months old, Mattie loved opening her gifts and she loved playing w/ her cousin, of course! Are they just two peas in a pod, or what?!
Wow.... Santa
Mattie's first time meeting Santa went quite well... no crying, no complaining, just stared at him in awe and ignored our camera trying to capture her smile ;)
The long awaited visit...
Yay, cousin Ryan arrived from AZ to play w/ Mattie for a super long weekend! They had a great time laughing at their parents and grandparents every day for 5 days straight!

The Christmas season is upon us!
Its a month of "firsts" for Mattie... Her first trip to Fashion Island to see the big tree, her first trip to Downtown Disney to see the holiday sights, and her first trip to the Knotts Christmas Craft Festival w/ Grandma... Mattie loves all the shiny decorations and festive people we see everywhere we go!

The Real Thanksgiving
We celebrated Thanksgiving w/ the Baker side of the family at Aunt Wendy and Uncle Randy's house this year. Mattie loved visiting w/ all of her relatives :) She first played w/ cousin Kate, who like to eat grass, then she is playing w/ "afraid of babies Laura" in the 2nd pic, and then she played w/ her GFA Wendy :)

OK, so maybe I had more fun at the pumpkin patch than Mattie (according to Sadri) but she did at least moderately enjoy herself... There was so much to see and so much smiling to do for the camera! Irvine Park will surely become a yearly tradition to kick off the Halloween/Thanksgiving season!

5 months old today!!!
I can't believe our little love bug turned 5 months old on September 27th! Time is going by way too fast! Mattie is practicing her sitting skills here, not quite mastered yet....Friends and Family
Seasoned veterans, Joy and myself, hang w/ new mommy, Amy. Tatum is almost 8 months old, Mattie is almost 5 months old, and Ryan is 7 weeks old here.
Mattie enjoys playing w/ her still mousy cousin Ryan. What an amazing size difference, but the gap will close soon enough :)
Boyfriend's Birthday Party!
Mattie was very excited to attend Caleb Fry's First Birthday party at the beginning of September! This lagoon experience was much more pleasant than the last one :)

Labor Day 2007
Just what every lady should be doing for Labor Day weekend! Floating in a Vegas pool w/ a margarita... well, maybe only add the marg if you are over 21! Mattie did quite enjoy the pool and so did everyone else.... until her "swimmer" leaked baby poop! Ga-rody!

Mattie, at 4 months old, enjoys a BBQ w/ her 7 month old friends, Aubrey and Tatum... they all practice sitting up, but Mattie still needs help from the bumbo...Daddy's 30th Bday

Memorial Day 2007
Her first Memorial Day BBQ... but not her first BBQ... Mattie has been out and about since she was just 2 weeks old... She is very easy going unless she is overly tired...8 weeks old
Mattie at 8 weeks old.... capturing smiles on camera is quite the challenge!
She started to miraculously "sleep through the night" around this time and has slept at least 7 hours since! Hooray for sleep :)
