The "big girls" played at the park on Sunday evening... seriously, check them out, they are such little kids now!
Mattie shows Tatum how to go down the slide all by herself at a different park on Monday evening. Their personalities haven't changed much, Mattie is still the brave one, daredevil child, and Tatum is still more on the cautious side and takes her time.
When did my baby become such a big girl???
Mattie checks out the cool splash pad.... as usual, she likes it...
Drenched 5 minutes later...
Then she gets thirsty, and what do ya know, there are water fountains everywhere! Strangers were cracking up at this sight, and she just kept going back for more... not sure if it was the water that was so good, or maybe she just liked the attention she was getting from everyone...
Mattie has become obsessed with our cat, Emma. She follows her around every chance she gets and tries to lay on her! Mattie screams when Emma won't stay put, but no wonder the cat runs away, have you heard Mattie scream? It is so much louder and more aweful than the cute pteradactyl video from a few months back...
Mattie has also become obsessed with putting on shoes she finds laying around the house... mamas, dadas, flats, heels, you name it, she tries them on....
Playing at the Montage in Laguna Beach (where we went 4 times in 3 days)... a quick family photo since the scenery was so nice :) 
Mattie was thrilled to play with her East Coast Boyfriend, Jakey. His parents made the trip out to Cali just for the wedding!
We got to play at the beach for a little while, and of course, the kids had to put their feet in the water....
Here's a shot of the newlyweds, Tim and Courtney! Don't they look so fabulous?! It was a beautiful wedding in Laguna, and the best part was that Mattie got to spend the evening with her grandparents so her parents could party at the wedding with no curfew!
I know, I know, I've been busy! Mattie was thrilled when Tatum came over to play over a week ago!
Isaac decided to check out the play date as well... look how big he is getting!
Then Aaron decided to join the fun too! Mattie was so lucky to have 3 of her friends come over to play, and on such short notice, we were thrilled everyone was free!
All the playing must have really pooped Mattie out, she decided to get into Isaac's baby carseat and just chill for awhile... apparently she doesn't realize that she doesn't fit in that kind anymore!
Mattie gets "up close and personal" with a sea lion, she loves them! But she seems to think they are dogs, she makes her doggie ruff ruff sounds when she sees them! I guess the faces are kinda similar...
She loves climbing on this boat b/c mommy can't get her w/out getting all wet from the kids spraying the front section....

Time for a snack after the aquarium. We like to look at the boats in the harbor and of course the pigeons are pretty cool too.... So glad my baby is feeling better!
Mattie got sick last Tuesday... high fever till Friday night...so we gave her amoxicillin thinking she must have an infection (saw doc Thurs)...
Here's what we got Sunday AM (click on pic to enlarge it)... needless to say, we took a trip to urgent care and I don't think Mattie will be taking any more antibiotics for quite some time...
Later that day, Jenna came back with a friend.. they tried to entertain Mattie but she was pretty crabby most of the day, and REALLY crabby most of the evening... we may be going back to doc again this week if this keeps up! I want my happy girl back, poor baby!

Mattie has a knack for stealing sunglasses off of adults faces...so I just gave up and said "get the camera".... here she is being her cute self, wearing mommy's sunglasses :)
I think summer is officially over with the close of Labor Day, but I have a feeling we still have lots of fun times ahead!
