Some BFF time!

Mattie loves spending time with her BFF Tatum! She hopped in Tatum's stroller, even though it is built for one....

They rode the seesaw together... with the mamas and on their own...

And they played in the sand together.... until Mattie flung sand at Tatum's face (as per usual!) And yes, it is January, and we are wearing short sleeved shirts again....

Another fun week!

Sylvie invited Mattie over for a Chinese New Years celebration on Monday, how fun! Mattie especially liked the raisins that Sylvie was eating :)

And she found an Elmo live doll.... whoa, that was crazy fun! Koa doesn't look to sure about it, but Mattie was super excited....

Alyssa and Gavin came to the party too, as did Sylvie's cousin Amanda (who is not pictured here). It was quite the kid play date! Lots of friends and lots of food!

We had to fit in some park time! Here Mattie and Alyssa (La La to Mattie) swing together...

And the park wouldn't be complete without a trip down the slide (or 3 or 4 trips)!

What a week!

Mattie had a fun filled week of play time, as I am only teaching one online class right now. Here is just a sampling of the fun she had!
We played at the park with Alyssa and Gavin one day...

Mattie's BFF, Tatum, celebrated her 2nd birthday! Mattie always loves playing the piano at Tatum's gamma's house!

Mattie's friend, Gavin, celebrated his 1st birthday! We didn't get a shot of the birthday boy, but Mattie very much enjoyed bouncing on a workout ball with Aaron at the party...

And playing in the backyard fountain, where Mattie and Aaron had a splashing contest to see who could get the wettest!

Mattie also enjoyed pretending like she was getting ready to go... she has her pigtails, her backpack, and her baby, what else could a girl need?

Mattie and Dada bonding time...

Mama had her first overnight getaway since Mattie was born on Friday night to San Diego, so Mattie and Dada had some good bonding time... He took her to the beach (gasp!) in January... but wait, it was over 80 degrees (has been for a straight week!) so they had a great time in the sun!

They also went to Fashion Island to ride the carosel and look at the big fish! What a fun daddy Mattie has!

When I returned, we attempted to put Mattie's toddler hair in pigtails, and yep, it sure is long enough (please don't be too upset, Sylvie)!

Silly Mattie...

Mattie decided to go into Sadri's closet this morning and pull out a basketball jersey. She insisted on wearing it, so I helped her get it on. She thought it was a lovely dress and hopes to fit into one her own size in a few years so she can play hoops with daddy.

We decided to start exercising, as we hope to be in bathing suits by the end of May. Mattie sat in her stroller most of the walk, but by the end, she was itching to get out and walk too! When did my baby get so big???? They just grow up so darned fast!

Play date central!

Mattie is taking full advantage of her momma being off work for one last week. We packed in as many play dates as humanly possible for a toddler...Mattie played with Aubrey and Tatum one morning this past week, her favorite part of the day was taking food from unsuspecting Aubrey! Eventually, Aubrey and Tatum just gave Mattie their food and Tatum ate Mattie's food instead...

Impromptu Thanksgiving!

So we called up the Gordys on Sunday to see if they wanted to come over for dinner. They already had a turkey in the oven, so they invited us over for dinner instead... We decided to make it a January Thanksgiving with lots of yummy sides! After dinner the little ones decided to fight over some toys, which was resolved by them using the same toy... Aaron got to push Mattie on the car! Fun times for all!

Thanks for having us over and adding to those holiday pounds!

Dinner Play Date

Saturday evening we met up with the Frys for some dinner and play time. Mattie loves playing with Calista and Caleb, and soon, Baby Cora will be running around with them too!
