Happy Halloween!

Why the pics are showing up in reverse order, I have no idea.... so lets work our way backwards from Halloween night...

So our night ended w/ Mattie running thru the streets of Lake Forest in her kitty costume, eating a candy wrapper....
She posed in the Gordy house getting ready to "trick or treat"...

Before the costumes came out, Mattie pushed Aaron on his car...

She was ready to slide as her cute kitty cat self before we headed over to the Gordy's house....

And really, when did I get a toddler? Mattie looks like such a big girl here! Babyhood is long gone!

Irvine Park Pumpkin Patch with Daddy!

Daddy got to come to the pumpkin patch this time! Mattie sat in a wheel barrel with a pumpkin and looked cute...

She measured herself at the pumpkin ruler again, just like last year.... Looks like she's grown!
The mountain lions came right up to the fence this trip to the zoo b/c the pumpkins were filled w/ dinner (dead animals)...

So Mattie had to growl at them!

This past week... Mattie seems to get crazier each day...

She literally climbed in the drawer by herself and wanted to hold all of the lotions... with only two hands, one had to go in the mouth...
This is how Mattie colors.... partially on paper, mostly on herself....

This is how Mattie takes baths now... her goal is to eat all of the bubbles before they go away...

The hottest pumpkin patch around....

And no, I don't mean in a good way... I mean hot like the burning lakes of hell....

Tanaka Farms would have been lots of fun if it were 15 degrees cooler.. maybe we'll go back in a few weeks....

We got a few pics of Mattie in her halloween shirt before it melted off...
Alyssa was quick to pick out a pumpkin, Mattie checked it out but decided against lifting an orange ball that weighed more than her....
Mattie always enjoys giving Sylvie hugs, even in 90 degree + heat....
She quickly lost her shirt... then her jeans, socks, and shoes... if only mamas could walk around practically naked maybe we would have stayed longer ;)

At the end of the day, Mattie just needed to rest on a pumpkin.....
Our last day, we went to a fun park... the girls rode the slide together....
And Mattie was surprised to see her BFF Tatum in AZ! They were visiting family as well, so they came by for a play date before we headed to the airport.... what a fabulous weekend! By the way, that was the short version (3 posts)... I had 120 photos to choose from!

Saturday in Phoenix!

Mattie was missing her dada so she decided to give him a call...
The girls played some more.. this time at a mall playground (indoor)... they had a blast climbing and sliding on everything they could find... and yes, we dressed them in overalls together on purpose ;)
Later that day we went to the pumpkin patch... Mattie tried to climb in to see the goats!
But then one jumped out, so they got to pet it up close and personal...

Friday in Phoenix!

Mattie and I went to AZ to visit Auntie Amy, Uncle Jason, and cousin Ryan on Thursday night. After surviving our first flight together we rested up for the next day of fun. We went to the zoo and saw lots of animals....
And even got to run around a water play area in the 95 degree heat....
By lunchtime the girls were getting tired, so we headed home for naps...
After naps, it was more play time! Ryan's room was full of fun stuff to explore!

Irvine Park Rairoad's Annual Pumpkin Patch

Mattie was so excited to see Sylvie this morning that she had to just grab her face and give her some love! The girls could not wait to go see the pumpkin patch at Irvine Park!

But first, there were horses to see.... too bad they were behind a fence....
Trying to get three kids to pose at a pumpkin patch proved to be impossible... here is the only group shot I got... Alyssa takes the lead, followed by Mattie, and Sylvie hangs out with Nadine in the back... You'll definitely need to click this pic to enlarge it...
Alyssa and Mattie had the same idea... climb over the fence so we can go run around with the goats! Let me in, let me in!
And Mattie really tried to get friendly with the animals, here, she is trying to kiss a goat!
What a great day! Trains, pumpkins, horses, and a zoo... Can a kid really ask for anything more?
