Mama had her first overnight getaway since Mattie was born on Friday night to San Diego, so Mattie and Dada had some good bonding time... He took her to the beach (gasp!) in January... but wait, it was over 80 degrees (has been for a straight week!) so they had a great time in the sun!
They also went to Fashion Island to ride the carosel and look at the big fish! What a fun daddy Mattie has!
When I returned, we attempted to put Mattie's toddler hair in pigtails, and yep, it sure is long enough (please don't be too upset, Sylvie)!

Sylvie is furious! She thinks Mattie should consider cutting off all of her hair as an act of solidarity with her friend Baldylocks. Think it over. Hope you had fun in SD!

I LOVE my Mattie updates! She is so cute...we were going to see if you guys wanted to get together this weekend but then my sister invited us down to Del Mar to stay with her and her boyfriend (Kevin Duck- Steve and Sadri actually graduated from Woodbridge with him. Really nice guy.). So, we'll have to try for another weekend sometime soon when I'm not working a Saturday shift.
