The best play date ever!

We were invited to the Gordy's for another play date, and boy was it fun! The mamas took the babies to the pool, but the water fun did not end there! The little ones decided to play in the bath together to wash off the pool germs... Sylvie, Mattie, and Aaron are all in the buff here!
During snack time, Mattie decided she really liked what Sylvie was eating, and proceeded to climb onto Sylvie's tray to get right in the action... does that face say "guilty" or what?
Aaron's mama really wanted to spoil the kids this time.. not only is there a fun pool, a fun bath, and dogs to play with... but there is also now a sandbox in the backyard! Play dates don't get better than this!

Monday...

Today we visited Hullabaloos Clubhouse, an indoor playground, for the first time. Mattie enjoyed pushing Sylvie in the car and really liked the obstacle course of getting to the big slide.
When we got home, I attempted to put her hair in a ponytail again, and succeeded this time... Mattie's new nickname is "pebbles jazayeri"... look at that pony stand straight up!

What a week!

After daddy was busy studying for the LSAT for 3 weeks, he was finally able to assemble Mattie's new rocking horse, and it was a hit!
Bubbles are always a hit as well... Here Mattie is enjoying the bubbles at Auntie Lee's Baby Shower... unfortunately the batteries died in the camera before I could get some photos of Mattie w/ her friends Tatum and Sylvie, who attended the party as well. And yes, it was approximately 96 degrees outside in this photo at 5:30PM!
Sunday was mommy and daddy's 6 year wedding anniversary. To celebrate the occasion Mattie got to ride the carosel at Fashion Island w/ daddy, while mommy melted w/ the camera, because yes, it was in the 90's again....

Is it possible to not crack up when you see Mattie in these sunglasses?! She even makes herself laugh! Daddy doesn't look too unhappy himself either!

Gift Day at Grandmas house!

When we arrived at grandmas for a pool day, grandma surprised Mattie with three new presents! She shows off all of them (sunglasses, a cow, a cup) while dancing here!

Sylvie's First Birthday Party

Mattie got to face forward in her carseat for the first time on the way to Sylvie's party... as you can see, she was quite happy with the new arrangement...
Sylvie got a home made cake with blueberries on it for her birthday! What a lucky girl, every big girl loves blueberries!
Mattie and Sylvie ended the day digging around in the ice cold drink buckets... apparently, baby hands are immune to freezing cold water and ice and can handle the cold for at least 10 minutes :)

What Mattie does with her spare time...

When mom goes stir crazy in the house and daddy is studying for the LSAT (Sunday), Mattie gets to go to the park... this park is particularly fun because it has a play area where water shoots out from the wall and up from the ground so the kids can get all wet!
When mom isn't looking and Mattie's bedroom door is left open (Monday), this is what she does. Some may say she is going to be a clothing designer, I say she is a mischief maker! She opens up the bottom two drawers and takes EVERYTHING out and throws it all over her room! Needless to say, her bedroom door is closed most of the time now because I am tired of putting clothes and shoes away numerous times each day...
When mommy's bedroom door is left open (Tuesday), Mattie heads straight for the CD racks. Here she has emptied out the wood one on the right and is now moving on to the metal one of the left. Last week it was the photo albums that she chucked all over the floor, I wonder what it will be next week?... I think I need a margarita...
